Working Groups

The Stellenbosch Civil Advocacy Network (SCAN)

Join a Working Group

SCAN member organisations are invited to join any of the Socio-Economic Development (SED) Working Groups.

These groups focus on specific areas of development, including Economic Inclusion, Health, Gender-Based Violence, Food Systems, Afterschool & Recreation, and NPO Leadership.

Working Groups meet regularly to share knowledge, coordinate activities, and collaborate on projects that address sector-specific challenges. By participating, organisations can pool resources, avoid duplication of effort, and increase the effectiveness of their programmes. These micro-networks create a space for members to work together toward a shared agenda, ensuring that each organisation’s contribution is part of a coordinated effort with measurable collective impact.

Members of Working Groups also have opportunities to explore joint initiatives, including collective fundraising, advocacy campaigns, and collaborative projects.

By engaging in these groups, organisations can strengthen their networks, build capacity, and actively contribute to a more cohesive and impactful civil society ecosystem in Stellenbosch.
